Disaster Recovery Assistance

If you have been affected by a disaster, here are some options and resources for you. Mortgage assistance plans are available to customers affected by a disaster.

Help for customers in FEMA-declared disaster areas

Visit DisasterAssistance.gov to see if your home is located in a FEMA-declared disaster area.

  • No late fees: We will not charge late fees while your county is in a FEMA-declared disaster area.
  • No negative credit reporting: We will not report negative credit information to the credit bureaus while your county is in a FEMA-declared disaster area.
  • Temporary payment relief: If you're having trouble making mortgage payments as a result of the disaster, we can provide a 90-day* grace period. We will also work with you to see what payment assistance options may be available if you're still struggling at the end of the 90-day period. *Properties usually remain in a federally declared disaster area for 90 days from the date of the disaster, but FEMA may extend that date based on the extent of damage caused by the disaster.
